The neogothic Grand Hotel Villa Feltrinelli is located in the old fishing village of Gargnano on the western shore of Lake Garda, near the cities of Verona, Bergamo and Mantua. It is surrounded by a 3.2-hectare park with mature trees.
Built in 1892 as the summer residence of the well-known Italian publishing family Feltrinelli, the listed building was used as the residence of Benito Mussolini during the Second World War. After it was empty for some years, flowed in 1997, more than 30 million euros in the faithful renovation of the house. Today, the villa's 20 suites and two separate cottages accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. Each accommodation is unique and furnished with fine antiques, some original pieces by the Feltrinelli family. Frescoes, wood carvings, marquetry and other elaborate details also adorn the public areas. Characteristic is a maximum of peace and privacy, coupled with a service concept for guests, "who already know the whole world and seek a refuge in secluded surroundings."
