The five resorts of the Veranda Leisure & Hospitality Group (VLH) are each located on the coast of the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Veranda Pointe aux Biches Hotel is located to the north-west, Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa and Veranda Paul et Virgine Hotel & Spa to the north and Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel to the east. All hotels are accessible from Plaisance Airport within one to one and a half hours by car.
The five Verandas "Hôtels de Charme" are characterized by their own orientation and atmosphere and inspire hotel guests with their "Deep into Mauritius" concept, which focuses on the Mauritian art of living through authentic experiences. These include guided bike tours and market tours, as well as tasting local rums and cooking classes, where tourists can learn about Mauritian cuisine and take home inspiration.
The Veranda Paul et Virginie Hotel & Spa (four-star) in the fishing village of Grand Gaube, named after the French novel "Paul et Virginie", impresses above all by its romantic atmosphere. As a "Couples Only" hotel, it is aimed primarily at adults.
The four-star Veranda Pointe aux Biches Hotel in Pointe aux Piments offers guests a relaxed barefoot atmosphere à la Robinson Crusoe - especially in the Sandy Lane, a secluded hotel area reserved for adults. The boutique hotel was extensively renovated in 2015.
The Creole-style Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa (three-star superior), located in the center of the lively town of Grand Baie, is right on the harbor. It is ideal for guests who want to combine a beach holiday with the convenience of being close to the city. Just a few minutes' walk away is La Cuvette Public Beach and numerous bars, shops, restaurants and discos.
The Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel (three-star) in Belle Mare on the east coast of Mauritius is surrounded by a casuarina grove and is considered the beach hotel par excellence - perfect for all water sports lovers.
Hotel Veranda Tamarin (three-star superior) with vintage style decorations and bright colors, is ideally located on the west coast of Mauritius, directly opposite the legendary surfing spot in the Bay of Tamarin. After extensive renovation, the Tamarin reopens in November 2018.
The Veranda Leisure & Hospitality Group (VLH) is an established Mauritian hotel group. The company owns a total of seven resorts of the two umbrella brands Heritage and Veranda. VLH started in 1982 as a small family business with the Veranda Bungalow Village in Grand Baie. Over the years, demand increased and more hotels in the north of the island were added - the family business became a Mauritian hotel group, the Veranda Resorts. The Heritage brand was launched in 2004 with the purchase of the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort. Since 2009, the Heritage Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort complements the portfolio.
