The luxurious Heritage Resorts are located in the south of the island of Mauritius on the 2500 acre Heritage Bel Ombre, which has a destination within the destination concept, and can be reached within 45 minutes from Plaisance Airport. These include the two luxury hotels "Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort" (five-star), member of the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World", and "Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort" (five-star) and the Bungalow Village "Heritage The Villas". The Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, named after the famous botanist Charles Telfair, is built in Mauritian architectural style of the 19th century and exudes the charm of a sugar plantation of yesteryear.
Inspired by the cultural diversity of Mauritius and the memory of the African heritage, the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort welcomes its guests into a warm ambience where the magic is the perfect balance of luxury and simplicity. Arranged like a small village, the individual African-designed buildings are distributed in the extensive garden of the complex.
Heritage The Villas offers a world of privacy and heavenly tranquility in a sophisticated atmosphere combined with the excellent service of a five-star resort. The 2- to 4-bedroom villas sleep up to 8 people and feature a spacious terrace with private infinity pool and other amenities.
The Veranda Leisure & Hospitality Group (VLH) is an established Mauritian hotel group. The company owns a total of seven resorts of the two umbrella brands Heritage and Veranda. VLH started in 1982 as a small family business with the Veranda Bungalow Village in Grand Baie. Over the years, demand increased and more hotels in the north of the island were added - the family business became a Mauritian hotel group, the Veranda Resorts. The Heritage brand was launched in 2004 with the purchase of the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort. Since 2009, the Heritage Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort complements the portfolio.
